Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic alias Micho has confirmed a set of friendly games Uganda will have as part of preparations for the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) in Algeria.
With the tournament getting underway in ten days from now, Micho indicated the games will offer a competitive mentality to the players.
“After ten days of preparations in Kampala, we have shifted the gears and moved to Tunisia for the final phase that has friendly games. We will play against Sudan, Cameroon and Mali in order to offer a competitive mentality to our players,” he said.
Micho believes the teams selected will give a true picture of what to expect at CHAN.
“We selected the friendly games with consideration of the teams in our group and wanted to have a close picture of what to expect. Sudan have been second runners up at CHAN twice, Mali come from West Africa and we have both Senegal and Ivory Coast in our group. From Central Africa, we thought Cameroon will give us what to expect from Democratic Republic of Congo.”
Uganda Cranes contingent safely arrived in Tunisia on Monday and moved to Sousse where the team will have ten days of camping.
Uganda is in Group B with Democracy Republic of Congo, Senegal and Ivory Coast.
