Large energy companies that have received high profits due to jumps in energy prices should send part of the funds to Ukraine. This money can be used to restore the energy infrastructure of the country. This was announced in an interview with Politico by the head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko .
“Many energy companies are making huge windfall profits from the conflict. We valued it at more than $200 billion,” Izvestia quoted him as saying.
The minister is confident that such a division of profits will be fair in relation to Ukraine. In addition, he called on Western countries to “close the gaps” in sanctions to help end the Ukrainian conflict.
